Projects that
think and act
End-to-end AI applications built independently — from agentic chatbots to route optimizers.

AI-Powered Study Assistant
LLM-powered tutoring assistant using the Claude API with custom prompt engineering for summarization, Q&A, and adaptive study workflows. Applied MCP (Model Context Protocol) concepts to design extensible tool integrations.

Agentic AI Chatbot
Multi-step autonomous chatbot using agentic workflows, tool orchestration, and memory systems. Applied LangChain and LangGraph patterns to enable dynamic reasoning and task chaining across conversation turns.

AI Financial Chatbot
Built as part of the BCG X GenAI Job Simulation via Forage. Performed data extraction, analysis, and developed a functional AI-powered financial chatbot using real-world generative AI development workflows.

Smart Route Optimizer
Multi-stop route optimization app applying graph-based algorithmic decision logic for scheduling and path selection. Built with JavaScript using graph theory and dynamic programming principles.
LeetCode Algorithms Repository
Structured repository of annotated algorithm solutions across trees, graphs, dynamic programming, heaps, and system design. Maintained for interview preparation with solutions in both C++ and Python.

A bit
about me

Rithvikh Katpelly
AI & ML Engineer-in-Training · UC Davis
Sophomore at UC Davis pursuing a B.S. in Data Science & Economics with a quantitative focus. I build agentic AI systems, RAG pipelines, and deep learning models — independently and from scratch.
My focus is at the intersection of agentic AI and practical engineering — building systems that reason, plan, and act autonomously. I've completed 30+ hours of certified training across Anthropic Academy, IBM, and Vanderbilt covering Claude API integration, Model Context Protocol, LangChain, and multi-agent architectures.
I have strong foundations in statistics, algorithms, and OOP with a proven ability to ship end-to-end AI applications independently. From RAG pipelines to financial chatbots to route optimizers — I build things that work.
Outside of engineering, I compete as an NCAA student-athlete in men's tennis at UC Davis, which has sharpened my discipline, time management, and ability to perform under pressure — skills I bring directly to technical work.
